Upgrading a phone through Rogers?—by Noaahhh

I have my phone and everything, and I’ve just passed the 1 year mark eligibility for an upgrade. (I’ve activated my cellphone Jan 06 2007). I have a blue KRZR K1 right now. How does the whole “upgrade your phone” thing work?

Once eligible for a hardware upgrade through Rogers, you can call in to determine the subsidy that you are eligible for based on your tenure and monthly revenue over the past year. If you’ve just one year tenure and you have average revenue (approx $35 per month) then you can likely expect an upgrade price of about $100 above new activation prices seen online plus a $35 admin fee. You can get your upgrade phone shipped to you by calling customer service or going into a Rogers Wireless store.
