The handset itself is extremely compact, measuring 11.3 x 5.9 x 1.2cm and weighing in at a very lightweight 105g.It has a large, beautifully clear 2.3in colour screen, which offers 65,536 colours - the resolution’s 320 x 240 pixels - on a TFT LCD display.

Pocket-lint Reviewed Samsung SGH-i600 and gave out “With Wi-Fi and HSDPA connectivity for web surfing, the only thing that really lets this model down is a confusing keyboard layout and 1.3 megapixel rather than 2 megapixel camera,3G and HSDPA connectivity present, there are two digital cameras (one VGA and one a 1.3MP) included in the phone, one forward facing for video calling and one for taking snaps.”
CNET Reviewed Samsung SGH-i600 and gave out “The good: Slim and sexy design; thumbwheel provides a BlackBerry-like user experience; microSD expansion slot; HSDPA, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity; supports A2DP; user-friendly interface; excellent sound quality on speakerphone; second battery included. The bad: QWERTY keyboard needs some getting used to especially for users with large digits; proprietary port for charging and synchronizing phone; no audio port; basic camera feature set; no onboard flash light. The bottom line: Easily the king of connectivity in the QWERTY-equipped smart phones category, the i600 boasts strong features in a sexy, compact, monoblock form factor.”
3G Reviewed Samsung i600 and gave out “The i600 comes equipped with the best connectivity options mobile technology can currently offer, namely HSDPA and Wi-Fi. Connecting to a Wi-Fi hotspot or home wireless router is straightforward and it delivers rapid web page download speeds when surfing the internet on the Pocket Internet Explorer browser. If you can’t connect to a W-LAN then you have the next best thing in HSDPA to fall back on. HSDPA UK coverage is still a little patchy but establish a strong connection and at times you can definitely see it outstripping 3G speeds.”
SlashGear Reviewed Samsung SGH-i600 and gave out “In terms of performance the i600 is a reasonable, if not outstanding, cellphone. Its ability to find a signal is good, but too often it failed to keep a 3G connection in areas my everyday phone.Call quality proved fair, although it benefited from being held apart from the ear; up close, sound from the earpiece was raw and rough. Microphone wind-noise seemed equally prevalent, with the mic itself perched near the edge of the handset’s face. “
Vnunet Reviewed Samsung SGH-i600 and gave out “There’s a heavy emphasis on media when you first start the phone up, but this isn’t followed through by Samsung, which only provides a proprietary headset connector and no 3.5mm jack.A 1.3megapixel camera at the rear enables you to take impromptu photos, while the 0.3megapixel camera on the front is for video conferencing. However, a better use of the SGH-i600’s high-speed connection is perhaps to hook it up to a notebook with a bigger screen.”
