The Samsung M520 is 13mm thick so isn’t the slimmest slider out there, and with stereo Bluetooth, 1.3 megapixel camera, and EV-DO, so you know the drill of these things.

The M520 offers built-in basics such as Internet access, SMS voice and text messaging, Phone as Modem, picture caller ID, Wireless Backup and a microSD slot supporting up to 4 GB of memory (64 MB card enclosed).

• CNET has reviewed the Samsung M520 and gave out “ The good: The Samsung SPH-M520 has a decent set of features, a bright display, easy-to-use control interface and satisfying performance. The bad: The Samsung SPH-M20 had sluggish camera menus, and it picked up some background noise during calls. Also it uses a proprietary headset jack. The bottom line: It doesn’t offer anything new, but the Samsung SPH-M520 is one of the better Sprint Power Vision phones we’ve seen. “

• PCmag has reviewed the Samsung SPH-M520 and gave out “Bottom Line: The Samsung SPH-M520 is a dependable all-around midrange feature phone for Sprint subscribers. Still, there are better choices for talking and texting. Pros: Attractive. Good voice quality. Capable e-mail software. Navigation and IM clients. Cons: Reception isn’t impressive. Weak camera and gaming performance. “
