The Nokia E90 Communicator is the latest in a long line of communicator devices, and is the replacement for the Nokia 9500 which was announced three years ago. That huge widescreen display, that clicky, tactile hinge, that enormous keyboard.

The Nokia E90 features 3G, HSDPA and WLAN for true Broadband connections and global coverage using quad band GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and WCDMA 2100. A QWERTY keypad, active matrix color display with 800 x 352 pixels x 16M colors and features you typically rely on your PC for, gives the Nokia E90 “all in one”, laptop, PDA and phone functionality to accomplish any business task. The Nokia E90 also includes a built-in GPS receiver that works as a stand-alone positioning device using GPS satellites. Use the Nokia E90 to find your location using the built-in maps.
Nokia E90 Reviews:
Mobile-Review Reviewed Nokia E90 and gave out “Nokia E90 ended up with a 3,2 Mpix CMOS-matrix. The quality of shots you get is excellent and pretty much in line with Nokia N93i, Nokia N73. In fact, in this aspect the E90 has turned out to be a really competent offering. On the downside the camera has no shutter and thus picks up smudge with ease. I should emphasize that the camera module used here is different from the one we see in the already existing devices, even though it allows acquiring snaps just as good”
TechShout Reviewed Nokia E90 and gave out “The device features one of the fastest RAM in a Nokia phone, 128 MB coupled with a faster processor. This enables the phone to work efficiently. You can run several applications in the background without making it slow or freeze. The Nokia E90 is the first communicator to run on a single platform.Firstly the keys, especially the ones next to the Menu buttons on the front side could have been perhaps a little bigger…”
CNET Reviewed Nokia E90 and gave out “The good: Classic yet functional design; thumb-friendly controls; Bluetooth stereo; FM radio; external memory card slot. The bad: Not quadband; no autofocus or built-in photolight. The bottom line: The W660i isn’t the most advanced handset. However, its decent all-round feature set, straightforward design and user interface are likely to attract the mainstream crowd.”
MobileTechReview Reviewed Nokia E90 and gave out “Pro: Fantastic wide screen display with 800 x 352 resolution that’s very viewable outdoors. Very good camera, WiFi, Bluetooth and a GPS. Excellent Communicator design melds a mobile phone with a notebook. The E90 is extremely stable and reliable.Con: In the US, the GPS and Nokia Maps is a mixed bag. Nokia has improved on the N95’s GPS with firmware updates, and we hope they do the same with the E90. Large by phone standards. No US 3G. The mobile office and strong PDA features feel a bit hobbled without a touch screen.”
