How to know if my nokia 6230 has a virus or not…?—by Kai

When I was surfing the GPRS. I like, went to my emails in my yahoo. And so far so good until I my cellphone suddenly turned off after I clicked an email I got! O.O
So now I’m scanning my files on my memory card and I will also scan the files on my cellphone using my computer that is connected to the mp4. LoL. In other words, my memory card is in the mp4 and it is connected to the computer and I’m scanning it.
So.. how do I know if its a virus or not? If its a virus, wtf is it? and how can I remove the virus, if its in the system and not in the files. Uhh.. so like, any help appreciated.

The Nokia 6230 is not a Symbian phone - it uses a proprietary operating system. There are no viruses for it - or anti-virus programs, for that matter. Both kinds of programs are impossible to make for your phone model, due to the restrictions of the Java (J2ME) security model. In addition, the existing viruses for mobile phones spread only via Bluetooth, MMS (*not* SMS) and MMC card exchange - not via the Internet, e-mail, etc.

So, your phone is definitely not infected and the problem you have observed is not caused by a virus. Maybe it’s some kind of hardware failure (e.g., a battery problem, etc.).
