Jun 26, 2007- Sprint today announced the LG Muziq, a new music phone that offers a quickly and easily experience music on the go. The Muziq comes with over-the-air song downloads, a 4 GB microSD memory card slot and a built-in FM transmitter allowing customers to listen to their tunes wirelessly through any FM radio within 10 feet.

The LG Muziq comes with a built-in FM transmitter, a 1.3-megapixel camera, a camcorder, and stereo Bluetooth. Of course, it also has a built-in MP3 player and a microSD slot that can handle up to a 4GB card. As a Sprint exclusive, the LG Muziq has access to Sprint’s full stable of broadband and multimedia offerings, such as Sprint TV, the Sprint Music Store, streaming music from Pandora and Sirius satellite radio.

Infosync Reviewed LG Muziq and gave out “Only the sub-par display held back the Muziq from being a stronger multimedia phone. Streaming videos on Sprint TV loaded very quickly, and shuttled smoothly, but the blocky display diminished the full screen viewing capabilities of the phone…The camera displayed photos with fairly accurate colors, but blurring was a serious enough issue that we won’t be taking pictures with the phone unless we run into Chris Rock on the street again. ”

LaptopMag Reviewed LG Muziq and gave out “The Muziq’s main improvements come on the rearranged interface. The main screen contains four stacked icons: Main Menu, Music, Send Text, and an On Demand feature that produces a pop-up window with the latest news headlines and local weather, as well as direct access to news, weather, sports, movies, and money sections. A Favorites soft key lets you configure direct access to a host of operations.”

CNET Reviewed LG Muziq and gave out “The good: The LG Muziq has an attractive design, a rich multimedia feature set, stereo Bluetooth, EV-DO support, plus access to Sprint’s array of 3G services. We especially liked the inclusion of a built-in FM transmitter and the performance speeds.The bad: The LG Muziq’s touch-sensitive music controls can be tricky to use, and we weren’t too thrilled with the skinny side buttons. Speakerphone quality wasn’t too great either…”

Crunchgear Reviewed LG Muziq and gave out “The coolest feature, however, and the one it shares with its older cousin, the Fusic, is the FM transmitter. The Muziq lets you send music from the phone to any car or in-home radio. This feature adds a bit of cool to an otherwise plain-Jane music phone and might be a welcome addition during long drives or bouts of Russian Roulette in some sweat-fly besotted Cambodian bordello.”

MobileTechReviews Reviewed LG MUZIQ and gave out ” Sprint’s 99 cent music track price is attractive and Sprint TV is an added bonus. The phone looks more mature and stylish than the FUSIC phone that it replaces.Pro: Large and bright display is great for video watching and photo viewing. Great number of Bluetooth profiles support including A2DP, though it didn’t get along with the Plantronics Pulsar 590A, which is generally very compatible with most A2DP phones and PDAs. Strong software bundle.Con: A2DP doesn’t work with the Plantronics Pulsar 590A at the moment. The battery standby time is very short. ”

PCMag Reviewed LG Muziq LX570 and gave out “The best way to sync the Muziq is by connecting it to Windows Media Player, though the phone doesn’t sync different playlists—only one huge list of files. Mac and Linux owners can drag-and-drop the files, send them slowly (39 Kbps) via Bluetooth, or use a PC-based memory card reader.The phone’s 1.3-megapixel camera isn’t great. In my test shots, it blew out bright areas and put a slight haze over my images, though color balance was decent.”

MobileBurn Reviewed LG MUZIQ and gave out “The main user interface is simple and user friendly. The phone comes configured with the MUZIQ theme active, which provides quick access to a snapshot of local weather and news, as well as quick links to Music and Send Text…The LG MUZIQ is a multimedia powerhouse. The device can hold up to 4GB worth of music, or approximately 4000 songs, through its microSD slot, though it ships with only a 64MB card. Audio playback quality was excellent, and Sprint’s Music application allowed me to quickly download the latest audio tracks for an economical price of US$.99 each…”
