LG CU500 Reviews:

Mobileburn Reviewed LG CU 500 and gave out “Messaging support for all of the major IM systems is included in the device, as is the typical support for SMS and MMS messages. A microSD memory card slot can be used for storing photos, videos, and music. Music support includes MP3, WMA, AAC, and AAC+ formats, and external music app controls make playback convenient. Also convenient is the stereo Bluetooth support for enjoying music without the wires”

Cnet Reviewed LG CU500 and gave out ” The good: It’s a quad-band world phone with a great slim design, external music buttons, and a camera with a rotating lens. Features include a 1.3-megapixel camera, an audio player, a Micro SD memory card slot, a speakerphone, and access to exclusive content, courtesy of Cingular Video and Cingular Music. The bad: The LG CU500 has two superskinny function buttons on the side that are difficult to press; we also didn’t like that you have to remove the battery in order to get to the Micro SD card slot”

Infosyncworld Reviewed LG CU500 and gave out “Multimedia - Very good:Video content downloaded in seconds over Cingular’s 3.5G HSDPA network, and streaming quality was excellent, with hardly a hiccup in the framerate. Streaming speeds seemed to be quicker, and quality better, than on comparable EV-DO services, such as Sprint TV, though Sprint’s offering boasts a larger screen size, so comparison was difficult. Unfortunately, the video image on the CU500 is less than half the size of the screen itself; a landscape mode, or at least a full screen view, would have made the content more compelling. ”

MobileTechReview Reviewed LG CU500 and gave out “Pro: Good reception. It has some great entertainment features including the music player, MusicID, Billboard Mobile and MobiTV/Radio. The CU500 is among the best for stereo sound quality on a phone with awesome channel separation, rich and full sound and great volume. A2DP support enables you to play music wirelessly via a Bluetooth stereo headset. Good price with contract.Con: No real email support. The hinge rattles on our test unit. Battery on 3G is a sore point.”

PCmag Reviewed LG CU500 and gave out “As a quad-band phone, the CU500 gets excellent reception—better reception than you think it does, because it displays a weak 3G signal even when very strong EDGE signals are available. The 1.3MP camera needs a bit of work. The white balance was very blue in our simulated-daylight shots indoors and too pink in outdoor shots. The Web and e-mail experiences don’t live up to the promise of HSDPA. There’s no e-mail client at all, although there’s an IM client supporting AIM, ICQ, Yahoo!, and MSN…”
