the Zune Marketplace is a frustrating convergence of sexy design and torturous interactivity. The whole “points” system is convoluted and can only serve to numb customers to the reality of what they’re spending for entertainment. Still, once connected, the Zune store offers plenty of great content.
With every MP3 player manufacturer coming out with their own takes on the video-capable, flash-based MP3 player, Microsoft’s spin on the theme is somewhat predictable.
The best wireless improvement, however, is with Wi-Fi. After introducing your Zune 8GB to your PC’s wireless network, the player is able to sync with your computer’s library wirelessly whenever it’s within range.
Wireless and video support may be overkill on a device this size, but the 8GB Zune offers some interesting options as a flash player.

Video performance on the 80GB Zune is quite good. The Zune’s 3.2-inch screen is a monster, bested only by the iPod Touch and full-fledged PVPs. The glass-covered 320×240 LCD presents excellent viewing angles, with above-average clarity and color.
The FM radio is a simple yet well-implemented feature. It’s easy to scroll through the dial and find stations, and simply pressing the touch pad makes a station a preset. Station call letters and descriptions appear within a moment of getting a good signal.
