Housed in a retro design with a protruding lens and well-built metal body, the Samsung NV20 will certainly turn heads when you get it out of your pocket. When we were testing the camera, it garnered plenty of interest.
The screen is bright and colourful, plays back videos at up to 30fps, and there’s a rather neat plastic dongle included that plugs into a socket on the back and acts as a kickstand for hands-free watching.
The Sony NWZ-A820 is a solid player with plenty to brag about, but the exclusion of features such as an FM radio, voice recording, and memory expansion, is worth keeping in mind as you compare the Walkman with its competition.

The Sony NWZ-A820 measures 2 inches by 3.75 inches by 0.4 inch, it has a metallic body and a 2.4-inch screen. It is stocked with features, including music, photo, and video playback, and built-in Bluetooth audio streaming.
The 321M, however, is far more adept as a recorder than it is as an MP3 player, at about the same price as the average flash digital music player.

The U Series is much thicker than a nano, but still small at 3 by 1.4 by 0.5 inches and 1.5 ounces. With such a sexy physical design, this player’s ho-hum screen graphics are a big disappointment.

The silver device–which offers 2 GB of internal flash memory–is built for audio and photo playback, with support for MP3, WMA, and WAV audio formats and JPEG still formats. All told, the Gigabeat stores up to 20 hours of audio, enough for most road trips or gym workouts.
This gem of an MP3 player can be easily loaded with tunes using Windows Media Player software. It plays MP3 and PCM WAV files, runs on one AAA battery, and has a rated life of 10 hours per battery .
