As for performance, the phone does well, offering an impressive battery life if you don’t utilise the music player or digital camera.

pocket-lint Reviewed Nokia 6300 and gave out “The Nokia 6300 is a great phone if you are looking for just a phone. Of course as soon as you step away from this remit and want better quality pictures, dedicated music buttons, or 3G connectivity then it all starts to fall short. However as the 6300 never professes to be anything more than just offering the basics this will please many a mobile phone user just looking to make calls.”

It is hard to nail down a typical use case for rating the Nokia 6110 Navigator’s battery life. When used for GPS navigation duties, the device will run flat in just a few hours, but users will more than likely have it connected and charging using the bundled car cigarette lighter adapter during navigation, so this is only an issue for walkers.

mobileburn Reviewes Nokia 6110 Navigator and gives out “The 6110 Navigator is a solid, stable S60 smartphone with a user-friendly and pretty reliable satellite navigation package built into it. Car users will get more out of the bundled sat nav application than walkers as the maps don’t adequately cover pedestrianised areas, but the maps and guides to local amenities are useful to everyone. It’s also worth mentioning again that you don’t have to use the bundled application, you can install a completely different sat nav package if you want to.
The relatively small screen size may be a worry for some people. However, the screen is high resolution and bright, and you can zoom out to any distance including the entire route or even the entire country. Plus, as stated above, it’s probably much safer if a driver relies on the spoken instructions rather than visual cues.”

In its day job as a mobile phone, the 6110 handled its duties with aplomb. Frequent overseas travellers will be pleased to know that the 6110 is quadband. Phone calls had excellent sound clarity, whether through the headset, built-in speaker or paired to a Bluetooth device.

Cnet Reviewes Nokia 6110 Navigator and gives out “The good:
* Excellent sound quality
* Symbian OS now almost lag free
* Spring loaded slide is hours of mindless fun
* Sharp, bright screen
* 3G and HSDPA
* GPS satellite navigation is convenient to have around …
The bad:
* … but interface and screen is difficult to use in car
* Car mounting kit is extra
* Text-to-speech message reading is unintentionally funny
* No wireless or infrared
* Photos are ordinary, even for a mobile
* Shiny plastic body creaks and smudges easily
The bottomline:
A good 3G slide phone with an excellent screen and sound quality. It feels a little cheap in places, though, and its GPS navigation is highly compromised.”

Nokia 6110 Navigator (not to be confused with the older Nokia 6110 model) is meant to be a fully functional stand-alone satnav device right out of the box. It is no wonder its navigation software and hardware are taken to a new level, with Nokia, Route 66 and NAVTEQ contributing alike to its development.

gsmarena Reviewes Nokia 6110 Navigator and gives out “The Navigator is truly ambidextrous, offering great smartphone performance and full GPS functionality. Add the above average multimedia capabilities, and you have a tempting all-rounder. The crashes some Symbian phones just can’t seem to help are not an issue here. For the time of our review we experienced none of them. The software stability of the device looks great, considered we pushed the phone to its limits.”

The Helio Fin is a good-looking handheld with a lot of features. But ultimately, it pales in comparison with Helio’s Ocean, which is the best way to take advantage of Helio’s excellent mobile Internet and messaging services.

PCmag Reviewed Samsung SPH-M513 and gave out “Bottom Line:The Nokia E65 unlocked business slider is a sharp, professional midrange pick.—Pros:Sharp, bright screen. Crisp slider mechanism and keypad. Includes Wi-Fi. Great Web browser. Fast camera.—Cons:Lacks 3G support. No document editing.”

Samsung SPH-M513 Collection Digital Fans:
The new Samsung Fin is a 11.4mm thick clamshell phone that packs in all sorts of great features. There is a 3 megapixel camera that works in conjunction with the HelioUp application and the Fin’s built-in GPS to upload geo-tagged photos to the Flickr.com photo website. HelioUP can also upload video clips shot with the camera to YouTube.

The Fin is also suitable for music lovers because of its Bluetooth wireless stereo headphone support and a microSD memory card slot that supports 4GB cards. And like the Helio Ocean, the Fin supports Helio’s all-in-one messaging application for quick, unified access to email, text messages, and IM sessions. And, of course, the Fin support Helio’s tight MySpace integration.

A variety of voice calls sounded clear in both directions using a T-Mobile SIM card. One call, though, had a series of dropouts that could have been network-related. Subsequent calls to that number connected just fine.

PCWorld Reviewed Palm Treo 500v and gave out “Although the Treo 500v runs on 3G (third-generation) networks, it doesn’t support the more recent version HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) protocol, again mostly for cost reasons, according to Bedlow.”
