The PowerShot S5 IS retains the overall look of its predecessors, receiving only minor exterior modifications. The body is made of a strong polycarbonate, and only the shell of the monitor and the ring around the zoom’s lens barrel are metallic.

Megapixel Review the Canon PowerShot S5 IS and gave out”
Positives:
* Very good image quality.* Very good colour rendition.* Reliable Evaluative metering.* Stabilized 12X zoom.* Excellent controls.* Complete range of modes.* Hinged 2.5-inch LCD monitor.* Fast to use.
Negatives:
* Average sharpness with wide angle images.* No RAW format.* Location of the memory card impractical, as the batteries slide out when the card is accessed.

The Nokia E90 is the first communicator to run on a single platform. It has S60 3.1 platform running on Symbian OS 9.2, which allows you to continue with the same action even when you flip screens.

TechShout Reviewed Nokia E90 and gave out “The device features one of the fastest RAM in a Nokia phone, 128 MB coupled with a faster processor. This enables the phone to work efficiently. You can run several applications in the background without making it slow or freeze. The Nokia E90 is the first communicator to run on a single platform.Firstly the keys, especially the ones next to the Menu buttons on the front side could have been perhaps a little bigger…”

As well as the 5 Mpix camera it retains, which is the top of the line solution in the Cyber-Shot range. It wouldn’t be the right thing to expect this camera module to stand up to real digital cameras – lack of space for building in quality lenses is still the greatest barrier.

Mobile-Review Reviewed Sony Ericsson K850i and gave out “The K850i can shoot in 240×320-pixel resolution at 30 FPS for 2 hours straight with sound enabled. The microphone faces no problem with capturing your voice, but it blurs all outside sounds. By and large, the video recording quality is not stellar – still waiting for a video-heavy offering.Frankly speaking, I didn’t love the twist in ergonomics, missing shutter and these switches. But my experience of a few thousands of shots tells me that it is not a big deal. The handset is easy to master, so it looks quite adequate as a replacement for a real camera…”

For your money you get a very clear and bright 2.2-inch QVGA screen, an FM radio, a music player, an external hot swappable microSD card slot complete with a 1GB card, Stereo Bluetooth, 2.0 USB and re-sized web browsing thanks to some new software from the Koreans.

Pocket-lint Reviewed Samsung SGH-G600 and gave out “The good:5 megapixel camera, music player, simple but solid design, 1GB microSD card in the box.The bad:No 3G, no optical zoom, no Zenon flash. In fact the best way to describe the G600’s design is solid. There is no kooky bits of technology to figure out, no new fangled scroll wheels to master, and it all make for a very appealing offering.”

the new Olympus E-510 in the test lab to find out just how effectively its new Supersonic Wave driven moving sensor image stabilisation system (IS) performs

fourthirds-user Reviewed the Olympus Evolt E510 and gave out”t’s not a gimmick - IS really does work and it’s a very worthwhile feature to include in your photographic armoury. And the Olympus E-510 moving sensor IS is competitive with the OIS served up by Leica’s 14-50mm standard zoom. But don’t leave the camera’s Mode 2 on unless you need it for panning! And don’t expect to combine the forces of the lens OIS and in-camera IS; it won’t work….”

The HSDPA reverts to 3G for data transfers in poor coverage areas, but it means you’ll almost always be within range of a reliable internet connection with this phone.

Vnunet Reviewed Samsung SGH-i600 and gave out “There’s a heavy emphasis on media when you first start the phone up, but this isn’t followed through by Samsung, which only provides a proprietary headset connector and no 3.5mm jack.A 1.3megapixel camera at the rear enables you to take impromptu photos, while the 0.3megapixel camera on the front is for video conferencing. However, a better use of the SGH-i600’s high-speed connection is perhaps to hook it up to a notebook with a bigger screen.”

The Mogul’s large QWERTY keyboard has to be considered one of the most compelling reasons for purchasing this device. Its keys are large and slightly domed, and the two softkeys are placed in a far better position than they are on the HTC Wing, which has an otherwise similar keyboard.

MobileBurn Reviewed HTC Mogul and gave out “Audio quality was very good in general on calls, and the speakerphone also worked decently. Outbound speakerphone quality was actually great, it was just that the inbound sound was somewhat harsh.Like all Windows Mobile devices, the HTC Mogul has a first class contacts system. It can store most any piece of data that Microsoft’s desktop version of Outlook can, including notes. While the HTC Mogul has a 2 megapixel camera and music/video support, it is not really focused on such tasks. But with that said, it does cover the basics well enough. The camera takes reasonable photos, but without auto-focus the Mogul will likely give few people reason to leave their dedicated point and shoot cameras at home.”
